Nenad Zimonjic new coach of Serbian tennis players

Serbian Tennis Association (STA) has appointed Nenad Zimonjic Acting coach of the Davis Cup team, after Bogdan Obradovic leaving, after nine years of work.

The famous Serbian tennis player and long-time national team player Nenad Zimonjic is a new Acting manager of the Serbia Davis Cup team, Blic reporting.

,,Regarding Bogdan Obradovic mandate expires 21. of january, Serbian Tennis Association board of directors decided to appoint Nenad Zimonjic as Acting manager of the Serbia Davis Cup.

At the same meeting Serbian Tennis Association board of directors, made a decision to look for an Acting manager of the Serbia Davis Cup” reporting Serbian Tennis Association.

Zimonjic is still active player. It is not known for how long Zimonjic will stay on this position.

,,We belive that Nenad Zimonjic as Acting manager of the Serbia Davis Cup, will continue good tradition and work with young tennis players and that his experience will be helpful for young players and encourage them to follow the steps of their older colleagues” reporting.

Zimonjic is record holder in performances for Serbia, he played 69 matches and win in 41.
Nenad Zimonjic was already a national coach-player of Serbia and Montenegro in 2003 and 2004. His new debut will be against Russia, from 3. to 5. February, in Nis.

Zimonjic was born 1976. and he is one of the best doubles player in the World, with 53 titles.
