Davis Cup: Serbia loses to Argentina

Serbia has been knocked out of the 2015 Davis Cup after losing a third match to host Argentina in their quarter-final tie in Buenos Aires.

Argentina won the doubles match on Saturday, with Carlos Berlocq and Leonardo Mayer notching up an easy win against Nenad Zimonjic and Viktor Troicki 6-2, 6-4, 6-1.

On the first day of the tie on Friday, Mayer beat Filip Krajinovic in straight sets (6-4, 6-2, 6-1) and Federico Delbonis rallied from two sets down to beat Troicki 2-6, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

Argentina has set up a semi-final clash with Belgium, which also scored its third point in the tie with Canada on Saturday.

The remaining reverse singles Mayer vs. Troicki and Delbonis vs. Krajinovic, will be reduced to best-of-three sets in the dead rubbers on Sunday.
