Top seeds Robert Lindstedt and Nenad Zimonjic advanced to the If Stockholm Open final on Saturday, edging Kevin Anderson and Jonathan Erlich 4-6, 7-6(4), 12-10.
A day after prevailing 14-12 in a final set Match Tie-break, Lindstedt and Zimonjic once again squeaked out a narrow victory, topping Anderson and Erlich in one hour and 44 minutes. Both teams won 72 points.
Lindstedt and Zimonjic are looking to capture the title on their partnership debut. They will join forces full-time in 2013. Lindstedt is bidding to lift his fifth trophy of the season while Zimonjic is gunning for his third title. In Sunday’s final, Swedish/Serbian tandem will face No. 3 seeds Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares.
