Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and his partner French Michael Llodra launched today in the third round of U.S. Open victory against Nicholas Almagro and Maxim Gonzales 2-0 (6:3, 6:4).

Zimonjic and Lodra played just as much as they needed to overcome opponents seemingly at half speed. The match lasted only an hour, a Serbian-French double had no major problems.

In the third round and Zimonjic Lodra will play against Andreas Sepi and David Marero.

It was announced on Friday that Llodra and Zimonjic had qualified for the year-end Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London in November, and the duo came into the US Open in a rich vein of form. After reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals, they won back-to-back titles at Washington (d.Lindstedt-Tecau) and Montreal (d. Bryans), and finished runners-up in Cincinnati (l. to Bhupathi-Paes).
