Zimonjic makes good start in Wimbledon mixed doubles

Serbia’s Nenad Zimonjic and Australia’s Jarmila Gajdosova are off and running in the mixed doubles event at Wimbledon.

Zimonjic and Gajdosova beat Austria’s Chris Guccione and Slovenia’s Andreja Klepac 6-3, 7-5 in the first round on Friday.

They will next play fourth-seeded Bob Bryan of the United States and Caroline Garcia of France.

Zimonjic and Poland’s Marcin Matkowski will play in the men’s doubles second round against the Anglo-French duo of Dominic Inglot and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
