Serbia’s Nenad Zimonjic and Poland’s Marcin Matkowski have been ousted in the first round of the Barcelona ATP men’s doubles tournament after losing to the Spanish-Belarusian pair of Feliciano Lopez/Max Mirnyi 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 10-7 on Tuesday.

In the match that lasted an hour and a half, first-seeded Zimonjic and Matkowski failed to live up to their reputation of being favourites at the tournament.

In the next round, Lopez and Mirnyi will take on the British-Australian pair of Jamie Murray and John Pierce.
