Novak Djokovic extended his perfect 4-0 record in Davis Cup rubbers this year to give Serbia a place in its first Davis Cup by BNP Paribas semi-final.
World No. 2 Djokovic won his fifth straight match against Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 in two hours and 24 minutes to give Serbia an unassailable lead at the Spaladium Arena in Split.
Janko Tipsarevic made it 4-1 to Serbia with a 6-2, 7-6(5) win over Croatian Antonio Veic in the 'dead' fifth rubber.
Serbia will next challenge the Czech Republic in the semi-finals in September. |
