RG 2010: Zimonjic and Srebotnik in Semifinals |
Sixth seeds in mix doubles competition, Katarina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjic have advanced to the semi-final of second Gramd Slam of the season. They were better in the quarterfinals of the French mix doubles Aurelie Vedy and Michele Llodra 2:1 (6:7, 6:3, 10:3).
In the first set were seen by two break on both sides, but the French couple were a little better to lead 1-0. In the second set, Srebotnik and Zimonjic did not allow a single break, and take advantage of one of the two break chances to tie 1-1 in sets. Finally in the third set, predominantly fantastic returns, Srebotnik and Zimonjic came to convincing 10:3 and advances to the semis, where they expected the match to the third owners, the Spanish-Austrian combination of Nuria Llagostera Vives and Oliver Marach.
