RG 2010: Zimonjic and Nestor in Finals |
Serbian Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor of Canada advanced to the finals of Roland Garros in the doubles competition.
Serbian-Canadian doubles in the first set, played fantastic against Moodie and Norman, who in the first set failed to win a single gem. Zimonjic and Nestor services from start strong and when receiving the service, returns were excellent.
Zimonjic and Nestor had 92% points in the first entered service (22/24), versus 48% (14/29) Moodie and Norman. The ratio of 6:3 as points, the total number of points for winning doubles 58:31.
Zimonjic and Nestor will fight for the title meet Czech Lucas Dlouhy and Indian Leander Paes, who were better in the first semifinal of Austria's Julian Knowle and Andy Ram of Israel 6-4, 6-2.
This is the second Serbian tennis finals at Roland Garros this year, having previously won the match for the title in mixed doubles competition with Katarina Srebotnik. Their opponents will be Austria's Julian Knowle and Khazahstan Yaroslava Shvedova.
